Brand Story
FanCornerCreations
FanCornerCreations began in an unorthodox way. Most people know they’re creating a business. I sorta… fell into it. I wanted a Friends Frame for my own house and there was nothing on the market. This confounded me because it was so clearly a fire idea. What do you mean no amount of special keywords or money could get a Peephole Door Frame for me? So I spent ten months messing with ceramics. My knowledge before this adventure was a solid zero. But I was born with the “I’ll figure it out” gene. So I did. And when I did, I figured I might as well list it so the next poor sucker craving a friends frame doesn’t have to learn all that. I guessed I might sell a few. Instead, I blew up that Christmas season.
I almost folded before I even really had a chance to realize this was indeed a business. It turns out shipping ceramic in a safe way is harder than you’d think. When the first few emails came in that they were arriving broken, I had just gotten out of class for the day and had a giant research paper due in six hours. Plus, I had 10 orders to fill by the next day. If those also arrived broken? Amazon would shut down my account. So I locked in. I went to the store for a bunch of packaging supplies and started drop testing different packaging versions off my apartment balcony. Throwing them as hard as I could and taking notes on the results. Luckily, I figured it out in time and still managed to write that paper. An A in political science might as well be an A+.
It was only after the haze of that first holiday season lifted that I realized this could really be something. Not just a fluke. But an actual business. So I started following whatever wild idea my brain had in store next for me. My first card game was sketched out in between history lectures. I had to learn a lot of skills that I never thought my future would hold. Web design, resin molding, social media — you name it. Each new challenge felt like an existential threat. It still does honestly. My first comic-con I got a full body stress rash and my stomach dropped when I saw what I was up against. How was I going to compete with those larger than life displays? I was filled with this deep dread that I had made a terrible mistake. I wasn’t a big enough deal to be in that room. But that’s the thing about learning new things; it’s always going to be scary. And sometimes you are going to fail. I have certainly embarrassed myself numerous times since doing this, as I’m sure some of my followers remember.
The one thing I’ve never failed at is connecting with fellow fans. From the beginning, people have resonated with me (even when I fail or mess up) because I am so authentic about it (and fix it obviously). FanCornerCreations is my designs and the stories I weave for them. But it is also YOUR stories with my designs. One customer purchased a Doe Happiness Spell to watch over their father after their mother passed. Others have used my products in promposals, housewarmings, baby announcements, etc. Each of those moments has become part of the brand’s legacy. I couldn’t have done that on my own.
Just like I couldn’t have built a community on my own. The online fandom space embraced me. My skits started to take off. People wanted to hear my thoughts about characters. They wanted more of ME. And so while it seems like just silly miniatures that I own; it’s really a community that we’ve all collectively made mean something more. That’s the beautiful thing about fandoms at their best. Fandoms change us all for the better. It’s not just about the creator. It’s about the way people interact with the creator’s world. I try my best to use this power you all entrust me with to do good. All my podcasts, posts, products, are designed (in theory) to help us all become more loving humans. You’ll never catch me platforming evil fandom messages. I believe fantasy should help us overcome the real life bad guys, not venerate them.
I’m not sure what’s next. Not because I’m not ambitious. The audacity of my dreams would shock even the most ambitious people. But because every product comes from an authentic place. I only make things I myself want as a fellow nerd. I don’t follow trends for product designs (though on social I love a good trending sound). I have no secret master plan to make lots of money. I just believe that if I make things from a real place, I’ll find my people. So far, it’s worked. Hopefully, I’ll make things that you like, too. Thank you for joining FanCornerCreations story. Brands don’t exist in a vacuum. I only exist because fans like you support me.

Our Process
Each piece is different. Over the years we’ve experimented with MANY processes such as ceramics, poured resin, resin printers, etc. The painting of all miniatures is done by me personally. Each sticker/ other piece of 2D artwork is drawn and designed by me (usually using ProCreate). The one exception is our logo which was designed by a talented maker years ago. Some pieces are now outsourced so I can keep up with demand such as stickers, magnets, etc but the designs were still unique to us.
While we use many tools depending on what I’m trying to accomplish we have never and will never use generative AI in ANY aspect. I do use tools like background remover in photo editing programs that now are called AI but that’s it. My superpower is connecting to people. I’d never outsource connection to a machine.
On Insta we have a highlight reel showing various processes we use to create new products.

The Maker
Filling these out is a lot like having to say three fun facts about yourself at school. Your brain goes utterly blank. When I was younger, I thought I'd grow up to be an actress. I've spent my life dancing, singing, and reading everything in sight. I started college in the acting program butquickly moved over to Political Science and History instead. What does that have to do with art? More than you'd think. I think I ended up exactly where I was meant to be. I still read voraciously. You can always catch me with a physical TBR that even an Illyrian solider couldn't pick up in one go. I also love Disneyland, rewatching my shows, and my fur babies.
On the dl, I'm also a writer, so if you're into writing content you can catch me on social. I published my first book, "The Girl Raised by a Dragon" earlier this year.
I'm passionate, opinionated about the smallest things, and all in all exactly the kind of person you'd imagine would be a bookish creator.
