Happy Birthdae Chocolate Cake Recipe
Happy Birthdae Cake
We could all use a little cake right now and I have the perfect one to share. A few years ago, a loved one surprised me with this cake for my birthday. It has become a beloved tradition and we have slowly perfected it. This year, I am super pumped to share the recipe with you all so you celebrate the boy who lived in style. I promise that this one is powerful enough to fight off any dementors you are dealing with.
Recipe:
Betty Crocker German Chocolate Cake Mix
Betty Crocker Devil’s Food Cake Mix
5.9 oz Chocolate Jello Mix
½ tablespoon baking soda
6 eggs
2 ½ cups milk
1 cup coconut oil
1 bag of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (I prefer Ghirardelli)
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 9 in cake pans. Mix together chocolate mixes, pudding powder, and baking soda. Slowly mix in the wet ingredients. Lastly loosely mix in the chocolate chips. Bake 40-45 minutes or until the knife comes out dry.
Let the cakes completely cool down before frosting!

Frosting tips:
Things went terribly wrong this time when I piped the text. Just don’t use royal icing and you’ll be fine 😂
Hagrid’s cake was smashed and not well decorated to begin with so don’t stress too much! With a flat edge spatula spread generous amounts of frosting between the layers and around the cake itself. The goal is not to make it perfect so relax and have fun! I open my laptop with a lettering picture to copy as I pipe the phrase. This can easily be made for anyone’s birthday as a special treat. Simply replace Harry’s name with your loved ones.
